From Proven Science to Powerful Results.

BBT-101 is a first-in-class, intranasal formulation of a powerful antioxidant that can increase brain glutathione and reduce neuroinflammation, swelling, and oxidative stress–essential to treating traumatic brain injuries.

The drug consists of a repurposed active ingredient N-acetylcysteine (NAC) that reduces common concussion symptoms. NAC already boasts a 50+ year record of safety, with more than 20 preclinical animal studies demonstrating a positive impact in TBI and has been used in two human clinical trials with respect to mild TBI.

What makes BBT-101 different from other available therapeutics? Our patented, nose-to-brain delivery system that bypasses first-pass metabolism, resulting in faster, more targeted therapeutic effects.

BBT-101: 50 Years of Safety, Seconds to Deliver.

BBT-101 is being developed through the FDA’s 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway, allowing us to build on the 50+ year safety record of our active ingredient, while innovating around its delivery and impact. Our optimized formula should have a 10x greater bioavailability and act 4x faster than orally delivered NAC.  Plus, the side effects when giving our drug intranasally prevents or drastically reduces side effects when compared to oral delivery.

This targeted, patented design enables first-line intervention and opens the door to future indications including pediatric concussions, seizures, strokes, and blast injury.

We're Not Just Treating Symptoms. We're Saving Patients.

First Responders & Military

TBI is common among first responders, service members, and veterans, often sustained in the line of duty. Our field-ready solution is designed to be administered within moments after contact, helping preserve brain function before irreversible damage occurs.

Athletes & Youth

Athletes, especially youth and female athletes, face elevated risks of concussion. Our intranasal therapy aims to provide a portable, rapid response tool that teams can use to help stop damage before it spreads.

Patients Facing Neurodegeneration

We're exploring applications of our therapy beyond acute TBI into areas like Alzheimer’s, chemo brain, Parkinson’s Disease, and stroke recovery. Our goal is to preserve cognitive function, whether due to sudden trauma or progressive decline.

Caregivers, Clinicians & Advocates

We’re building solutions that empower neurotrauma clinicians and caregivers with fast, noninvasive tools that help patients wherever they are: on the playing field, on the front lines, or in the emergency room.
